Our work has always blended business acumen and pioneering creativity. We’ve spent the last 75+ years igniting growth and helping our clients create new meaning in their customers’ lives.
Lippincott was founded at the intersection of design and strategy. From day one, it was a culture of innovation with a focus on solving complex problems. Integrating a cutting-edge set of capabilities from product and industrial design to corporate identity and marketing strategy, we went on to partner with early innovators such as Sprite, Xerox and IBM.
While the legendary Tucker Car was one of our early examples of innovative problem solving, it certainly wasn’t our last. We brought to life the first nuclear submarine, helped Chrysler upend car dealerships, and architected the once controversial, yet now classic, S.C. Johnson Pavilion for the New York World’s Fair. When the modern grocery store became too impersonal, we created a revolutionary shopping experience still used today. Throughout our history, we’ve led fearlessly, daring to defy expectations and achieve what many thought impossible.
Rigor has always been at our core. We were early pioneers of consumer research, analytics and brand strategy, continuously investing in the development of intellectual capital that pushed the boundaries of our approaches. Our first Sense Magazine was published in 1956, creating today’s industry tradition of developing and sharing thought leadership.
The Coca-Cola ribbon, Betty Crocker spoon and American Express blue box are more than symbols. Their longevity is a testament to the emotional connections a brand can forge. Like the CITGO trimark still standing in Fenway Park, or Andy Warhol’s 1962 tribute to Campbell’s soup on display at the MoMA, our work has sustained decades of change, seamlessly integrating with the cultural landscape it has been shaped by and has in turn shaped.
Whether taking Starbucks beyond coffee, helping Delta achieve new heights or partnering with Samsung to disrupt new categories, our multidisciplinary teams continue to blaze trails with leaders all around the world. By maintaining the same pioneering spirit we were founded with, we design new ways to create meaning every day.
From leaders to upstarts, down the street and around the world, this list represents a selection of our brilliant partners, past and present.
