Karina Singh
Senior Associate, Brand Strategy

With a joy-of-learning outlook, and desire to impact the world around her, brand consulting was a no-brainer for Karina.
While she has found the right career-path, the Austin-native is still searching for the best TexMex in New York City.
- In your own words, what do you do at Lippincott?
Most simply, I work on teams that help companies make more strategic choices and identify more opportunities for brand and consumer-driven growth.
- When did you decide you wanted to be in this business? Why?
I realized pretty early on in my career that I needed to feel some sort of connection to the work that I was doing, and truly understand the impact it would have on our project teams and the world around me. I knew that I wanted to build a career in a space that would really allow me the opportunity to blend both of these aspects, and that’s what I found at Lippincott. Lippincott really provides the opportunity for me to work on projects that have a real impact, with people who will continuously challenge me, and in an environment that encourages growth and learning.

- If you weren't in this profession, what would you be?
I would love to be an interior designer or wedding planner. Both offer opportunities to better understand individual’s goals and dreams, and actually be a part of bringing those goals and dreams to life. They’re also both a great opportunity to blend both functional and creative design elements together in spaces that are intended to bring people happiness.
- What's your favorite place you've traveled to?
Mexico City—every time I visit, I’m able to experience something completely unique. The food, people and history of the city are incredibly interesting, and I’m always trying to find a way back.
- What's your favorite thing about the place you call home?
I’m originally from Austin, Texas—and even though I’ve been in New York for 10+ years, I still often call Austin home. Beyond my family and friends, my favorite thing about my home is pretty basic: the food. I’ve been on the search for good TexMex or barbecue in New York forever, and it’s still pretty hard to find anything that really competes with what I’m able to get in Austin!
