Harriet's experience in customer-driven proposition strategy and design has spanned sectors— from financial services to fashion.

A career highlight for her? When she headed up operations for Kanye West's luxury fashion label.

Being a Lippincott’er means….?

Always challenging the status quo—for our clients, for ourselves and for each other.

If you weren't in this profession, what would you be?

A lexicographer; I’m obsessed with language and etymology, and proudly the youngest ever member of the Queen’s English Society (or at least I was when I joined aged 15, I’m not sure I can still claim that title anymore!).

What's your happy place?

Pounding the concrete in my Brooks GTS trainers with some ’90s hip-hop blasting through my headphones.

Have you made any significant left turns, U-turns, or corkscrews in life?

I spent a brief stint working for Kanye West after following my instinct and accepting a once-in-a-lifetime role that came up at an opportune moment for me. It felt like a crazy choice at the time, but it’s one of the most enjoyable career experiences I’ve had and has furnished me with memories and stories to dine out on for many years to come.

What's your favorite place you've traveled to?

Tasmania—partly because it’s home to the Museum of Old and New Art, with some of the most memorable and entertaining installations I’ve seen. But mainly because it’s such a breathtaking natural environment to explore, and so sparsely populated you have the sense that the island was put there for your enjoyment alone.

What's changed the most about the industry / the work / the clients?

The lines are becoming increasingly blurred between different client services. In recent years we’ve seen a flurry of acquisitions, partnerships and capability extensions across consultancies, marketing agencies and boutique design and innovation outfits. On the one hand, all this consolidation represents an opportunity to deepen client relationships and market impact. On the other, when everyone is trying to eat each other’s lunch, there’s less room at the table.
