When she isn't working on client projects, Emilie can be found in nature—either at the top of a mountain or under the sea, diving and observing marine life.
- If you weren't in this profession, what would you be?
A marine biologist. I have a deep (no pun intended) fascination and admiration for sea life. Outside of work, I study marine biology and have spent time planting corals and doing field research on sea life (including sharks) in the Caribbean.
- What's your favorite thing about the place you call home?
I’m lucky to call Montreal home—which is where I get to be with family. I genuinely enjoy the slow, friendly and French vibe of the city. It definitely has a ‘”je-ne-sais-quoi”!
- Where do you find your inspiration / source of creativity?
Traveling—there's nothing like discovering new cultures and speaking other languages to constantly evolve your mindset.
- What's your happy place?
Anywhere but sea level. Whether it’s having my head in the clouds on a hike or my feet touching the seabed.
- When did you decide you wanted to be in this business? Why?
When I realized the breadth of challenges we tackle, and the opportunity to work in so many industries and locations—there is never a boring day!
- What did school actually teach you?
To effectively collaborate with teammates embodying different mindsets, backgrounds and work styles—a lesson that has unintentionally and thoroughly prepared me for the world of consulting!

Emilie received recognition for her Master's thesis on brand authenticity and consumer behavior by the International Association of Arts and Cultural Management, who published her article and invited her to speak on her work at their 2017 biannual conference at the Peking University in China.
