At Lippincott, we believe in the power of creativity to change the world. From rebranding a global pediatric cancer facility to reach new donors to painting a neighborhood mural with the local community, we partner with organizations to create meaningful and enduring impact.

Incubated at Lippincott by our Chief Strategy Officer, John Marshall, and Dan Schrag, Director of the Harvard Center for the Environment, Potential Energy is a 501(c)(3) organization that harnesses the best marketing tools and most experienced marketers to motivate urgent, collective action on climate change. Made up of a coalition of the best firms and talent in the creative industry, the organization aims to educate the U.S. public about climate change and mobilize people to act through a targeted portfolio of advocacy campaigns. The mission is simple, and we’re putting the full force of the creative industry behind it: to rapidly accelerate active support for clean energy.
GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, is dedicated to promoting fair and inclusive representation of gay, lesbian and transgender people and events in the media, as well as reducing homophobia and discrimination. As a longtime ally, Lippincott helped GLAAD grow awareness and realize its mission. We defined a new brand positioning and developed a clear set of character attributes to help shape the tone of GLAAD’s communications. The new GLAAD identity is simple and clear, representing GLAAD’s work to empower LGBT people and allies to share their stories.
Dancing Classrooms brings social dance to primarily underserved schools worldwide. Students of all ages and backgrounds step out of their comfort zones, and in doing so learn to treat their peers with respect, and to feel confident in their ability to achieve their goals. We partnered with Dancing Classrooms to clarify and synchronize its global messaging with a new brand essence and visual identity. Now, Dancing Classrooms can continue expanding, helping kids across the globe put the right foot forward.
SOS Children’s Villages provides holistic support for children across 134 countries. The U.S. chapter struggled with telling a focused story and generating awareness of its vision with national donors. We’re continuing to work with the organization to communicate and amplify its story through visual storytelling, bringing to light the importance of the work it does in an emotional, evocative way.
In honoring our design heritage and New York roots, we partnered with Creative Art Works, an organization that empowers thousands of young New Yorkers through curated art programs. Lippincott worked closely with Creative Art Works to develop a new website, logo and visual system to bring to life the energy and vitality surrounding its work. And we provide hands-on support, with employees volunteering time in workshops throughout the year.
Our new identity perfectly captures our personality and drive to help create positive change in the lives of youth through visual, performing and multimedia arts.
— Brian Ricklin, Executive Director and CEO, Creative Art Works
Bear Necessities is a national organization dedicated to eliminating pediatric cancer — and providing hope and support to those who are touched by it. We were honored to help Bear Necessities refresh its brand to support the work it does. Together with Oliver Wyman, we created a new brand platform and crafted a voice and messaging toolkit, logo and sophisticated yet kid-centric new visual system. With these tools, the organization is poised to communicate and connect more effectively — and make an even bigger difference for kids and families.
