This role provides the opportunity to gain client exposure and develop client management skills as you contribute to the work.

  • Stay up-to-date on trends and new techniques in the design world, as well as best practices in user experience and interface design, and be ready to share those findings with the team
  • Help develop case studies and public reference, including the gathering of materials

Manage Time and Projects

  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines across multiple projects, notify senior colleagues of scheduling conflicts early on
  • With guidance, work within budget and time constraints
  • Document and archive all work and files logically and in a timely manner for team/studio access
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to contribute and go beyond what is simply requested

Communicate and Collaborate

  • Clearly articulate design ideas, share research findings and explain thought process to team members — both in writing and in person
  • Constructively participate in team ideation and design critiques
  • Assist in producing client presentations
  • Participate in client calls and meetings and be involved in maintaining the client relationship as necessary
  • Share specific, constructive and actionable feedback to team members as appropriate

We look for you to:

Be Knowledgeable

  • A design-related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent portfolio
  • 3+ years of graphic design experience in a professional setting or relevant graduate degree
  • An understanding of how to apply basic design principles to creative work across a range of experiences (print, digital, 3D, motion and environmental)
  • With guidance, the ability to incorporate inputs from strategy, research and other disciplines into design development

Be Skilled

  • The ability to design consistently across a range of static, dynamic and interactive media (print, digital and web, three-dimensional, environmental, etc.)
  • Experience with Adobe Suite and MS Office; a working knowledge of digital prototyping and UX wire framing is a plus; a working knowledge of motion or film editing software is also a plus
  • The ability to work independently in the face of complex assignments and seek clarity when necessary
  • The ability to think creatively while building on and relating work to past experience
  • With a basic understanding of color management and media requirements, the ability to prepare production-ready assets and to package files for distribution and digital implementation
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational and file management skills

Be Passionate and Driven

  • Demonstrate high quality design that balances creativity and rigor
  • A true enthusiasm for the evolution of design and branding
  • A passion for design that is both beautiful and functional
  • An interest in digital design (apps and sites)
  • An unparalleled work ethic and desire to contribute and to collaborate with others
  • A desire to proactively seek constructive feedback
  • A desire to enhance and grow your skillset, learning about technology, media, production process, design applications, and working methods
